The Strategy

Our strategy is to get the word out by producing and distributing compelling, educational videos and printed collateral that promote adoption as an alternative to abortion.

  • 1.  Produce a powerful video/presentation video made available to churches and pro-life organizations nationwide that encourage adoption over abortion.
  • 2.  Produce a video with testimonials of families expressing the joy of raising down syndrome and special needs children.
  • 3. Distribute our special needs and down syndrome information brochures to 2,500 Pro-life Ob/Gyn and Obstetrician offices throughout the United States.
  • 4. Speak at high schools, colleges and churches to a) encourage young men to be responsible fathers and promote adoption as the alternative to abortion and 2) reveal the miracle of down syndrome / special needs children. Recruit other speakers to do the same.
  • 5.  Expand the You Are A Dad radio show into new markets and increase viewership.

The Silent Pulpit

Each year in America, we abort 900,000 of God’s precious children. What is even more shocking is that over 50% of these aborted children are from Christian families, many of whom are the daughters of pastors and church leaders. The Church remains silent on the issue while every 26 seconds that you breathe, a child’s breath is snuffed out.

The Christian Research Group, LifeWay, co-sponsored by Care Net, a pregnancy center support organization, reported their findings in a survey concerning abortion and its demographics when it comes to religion:

  • 50%+ of women surveyed identified themselves as Christians
  • 33%+ attend church once a week or more
  • 33%+ of those who attend church regularly have kept their terminated pregnancy secret from their church community
  • 7% discussed their decision with someone in the church While the Church, in general, seems comfortable with its role on the subject of abortion among their members, studies render an altogether different truth about the Church’s position to boldly proclaim the Biblical perspective on the sanctity of life and how to affect that truth to the men and women facing the harsh reality of unwanted pregnancies. Care Net cites “Five Common Fears” that silence the Pastors on the topic of abortion: (posted by Mark Campbell Mar 16, 2016)
  • “My Congregation will think I’m being political”
  • “I do not want to be pegged as a crazy right-wing conservative.”
  • “I feel inadequate to address the issue of abortion.”
  • “I’m already overwhelmed, and I know if I preach on the issue of abortion, it will open the floodgates of hurt and bondage, and I won’t be able to handle the fall out of the sermon.”
  • “I am afraid I will alienate and drive away women who have had abortions.”

A Biblical Perspective

Throughout scripture, God reaffirms that life is sacred. Take inspiration and hope from these Bible Verses that celebrate value of life.

Psalm 139:13-16
13 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

Psalm 127:3-5
3 Children are a heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from him.
4 Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth.
5 Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their opponents in court.

Job 31:15
15 Did not he who made me in the womb make them? Did not the same one form us both within our mothers?

Proverbs 24:11-12
11 Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering toward slaughter.
12 If you say, “But we knew nothing about this,”
does not he who weighs the heart perceive it?
Does not he who guards your life know it?
Will he not repay everyone according to what they have done?
Isaiah 49:15
15 “Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you!
Christians account for 50%+ of the abortions in the United States. We can no longer hide our heads in the sand. We’ve got to start the dialogue, provide the solutions and convince our young men that when they become a Dad, they are Dad for eternity and to learn to walk in the responsibility that comes with being a Dad. Proverbs 24:11-12 clearly states that we need to rescue those who are on their way to slaughter.
